For those of you who haven't seen Leo's message, another fire has destroyed a rebuild in Falmouth. I met Spike, the builder when we were both sailing a north Atlantic circuit. As a young man he was already known for superb seamanship particularly engineless. He helped me and possibly many others with knowledge and gave hospitality on his rebuild, Rosa.
He was two weeks away from launch on his latest rebuild when the fire struck, destroying all his tools as well.
The funding target is nearly there for replacing stuff but I thought there may be some here who might like to help. This is my way of thanking him for the support he and his friends gave me on my travels. But please don't feel obliged in any way.
