Finished at last - where\'s the beer tent?!

Phew .... gained back a few lost places this morning ... went from just over 200 to 179 - thankfully!

Lessons to be learnt from this leg ....

1) I did better when not in control of the boat (started the leg playing on laptop via mobile phone in Scotland! for a week!!)
2) Don't try any smart arse moves when you're 2 days from the finish line

Now - SWMBO has 170Nm to go - so some beer time for me then!! /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Well done, You are consistant at the very least.
7th YBW boat in the 1st leg and 7th again.
(You obviously under acheived in the Inport coming 8th)

I've not found the beer tent, but I have a good stock of malts.... (and owe dipper some champagne as well) Party on Wild Bird later?

looking forward to the next leg, when hopefully
a. I will understand what I'm doing
b. I will have fathomed out the VMG reading (doesn't make sense to me)
c. I won't fall asleep at the wheel,
d...or go out to lunch on critical days, forgetting that Wild Bird was set to sail on wind angle- oops

Flaming, there were times that I thought you had abandoned your ship when you hit the hole.

The last couple of days have been rather difficult for us out West but nothing like you had to deal with.

Not so much, no...

Was up to 12th just before the doldrums, then they just grew and grew in front of me.
Can't really complain, would have been the world's biggest fluke if it had worked!

I was away all this week, so was actually spared the sight of my boat sat there not moving!
