Be careful with Bayliners before 2000. True entry level.

Sea Ray is better. Ofcourse engines are the same but build quality, electrics etc. differ and age makes it stand out.

Be thorough when surveying. No boat is better than the TLC is has received.

FWIW:JD Powers survey from 2005

Brand ---- Score
Cobalt 896
Regal 832
Crownline 829
Sea Ray 827
Chaparral 817
Baja 816
Four Winns 816
Average 813
Rinker 808
Monterey 804
Stingray 799
Larson 785
Maxum 769
Bayliner 749

Thanks for that - does make you think about owning an old Bayliner! However hopefully many of the faults would be fixed by now!

The little Dell Quay might be back on though. Wife has decided we don't want anything too big or heavy as with tiny kids it's only going to be day-boating and thus we don't need a huge amount of space as we can run back to the quay / beach to collect anything we need.

So back to an early question - what do people think that Dell Quay is worth - my thoughts are:-

Engine is worth about £1500
Trailer about £400
Hull about £1000

Anyone agree / disagree with that?

Thanks

It's up for £4k and you want to offer £2900. Make them an offer, they can only say one of two things.

Or go in at less than your £2900, say £2700 and see what they come back with.
