Nice one Roger. Looked at a Targa myself not too long ago. SWMBO - opposite to yours - prefers to stick with flybridge. Something to do with being further from the water and the fact that the waves look smaller from up top. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Ref the bowthruster. Check for marine growth on blades and tunnel. Had a problem a couple of years ago when bow "thruster" had little thrust. Turned out that because of lack of use just about every marine creature had clung to the blades and tunnel. Now I give the area an extra coating of a/f and a good blast every time out whether it's needed or not. Keeps it working. Worked well this year.

Also note that we now have your ex-marina manager at O.V. What's he like? Approachable?

Have a great time with Houston. Hope you're not around when I get into difficulties. Just imagine the reaction to the VHF if I put out " Houston, we have a problem"

Thanks for the tip on the thruster. I know there's no marine growth on it at the moment as she's just been antifouled and anoded before collection but I'll bare it in mind for later. What I meant when I mentioned it earlier was that when you really need one, you need a BIG one.

Slightly lacking in Seatalk or NMEA sniffers, so best put the right cables in the right sockets.
