Excellent time had by all.
Thanks for all your assistance everyone.
Called into Bray and said hello to MyShe,Release and Legacy on way up to Cookham to find some of our club boats parked on a very nice field.
Lady came round to collect the £5.00 mooring fee,boats had to be parked nose in and three deep due to slight shortage of depth next to bank.
Busy area with boats from local yacht club whizzing past most of the afternoon.
For my chum it was his first time on the Thames and enjoyed himself so much he will definately be coming back up this year.
The lock keepers are on the ball regards licences because when he and a couple of other skippers squeezed into an inflateable and went back through one of the locks,they were questioned quite gruffly about wether the dinghy was licenced.
No so nice bit.Comments were made about people camping down near waters edge defecating in bushes and long grass and not being very discreet about it.
Also the amount of god tihs lying around and not picked up perhaps due the shortage of poo bins and the ones in the public car park ? over flowing with stuff left lying on the ground nearbye.
Although many boats appeared to have a hound attached to the boat via a lead suspect it was locals and shoreside vistors leaving the parc behind.
Perhaps if anyone has contacts with the local parish council it could be mentioned.
