Can Anyone help i was looking under The sink in The Heads and Found these Two filters 1 Johnson pump type F3B -19BSP it goes to pump gard 362000-000 on The same pipe then goes out of Boat via à stop cock.
I think The pump gard is à filter which can be undone

Pumpguard 36200 is a strainer

You would expect to find a filter/strainer on the suction of any diaphragm type pump. It protects the pump valves from debris.

The Johnson F3B pumps are I beleive flexible vane pumps, although no reason why they should not also be protected, just not as important as it is with a diaphrgam pump.

You'd not expect a filter or strainer on the discharge side of a pump. The above are not suitable for fitting on the discahrge side anyway
