Festive offer for East Coast Sadler owners

I think their 'Jack's Pale Ale' sounds a bit less worrying than their 'Mud City' - or their 'Bottom', for that matter. :)

I'm not sure how I got to this interesting new find, it must happen to many well intended web searches!

Being on the East Coast, this particular stout should appeal to not just Sadler sailing folk. I've not had the pleasure yet but will report back if I decide my boat deserves a stocking filler.:nonchalance:
I'll go up to the Lye (about a mile from home) in the next few days and sample and report back!

I'll go up to the Lye (about a mile from home) in the next few days and sample and report back![/QUOTE] As promised SWMBO and I went up (and down because it's hilly where we live) to the Lye and the Windsor Castle Brewery for a pre lunch snifter. View attachment 54501
Peaky Blinder and Thin Ice were on tap.View attachment 54502View attachment 54503 SWMBO thought Peaky Blinder was a very reasonable cross between a mild and a Guinness. I thought Thin Ice was very light and pale, but certainly clear. It was quaffable and I had a second! However it was much more like Adnam's Ghost Ship than Shipshape. Not a heavy beer! The brewery's description of the characteristics of the beers was accurate.
If I had a Sadler I would not hesitate to have a few bottles aboard to impress guests! Unfortunately, because I much prefer beer, I have to make do with Oyster Bay on Belinda.

Unfortunately the 'No 1 beer hold' and the 'no 1 reserve beer hold' have very little room in them aboard my Sadler. Maybe I need to extricate and releive the bottles of their contents. Now there's an Idea! :-)

What a great report and fantastic photos, looks like you enjoyed yourselves. Good to hear your report suggests a likeness to ghost ship, a favoured tipple - especially as I've gone and ordered a mixed case and a Sadler teeshirt. Fingers crossed :encouragement:

Greetings fellow Sadler enthusiast- "Extricate and relieve" - Probably a very sensible addition to an efficient stock take ahead of winters lay up.

Quite possibly, but there are a few missing steps between 'extricate' and 'relieve'. :very_drunk:
