ferro cement yacht insurance

hi my ferro yacht is currently insured with mapfre in spain. With the euro change it is becoming more expensive and ideally we would like to look for other quotes. it was professionally built but company has gone out of business and is not generally recognised that is casuing a problem . Ideallly I would go for third party only- any ideas who to approach

try "Yachtmaster" they have just started doing ferro once again. Allso Edward William cover Ferro, Most other UK companies are not interested. pantanius would not even quote, I hade been a client of thers for 14 years!

Yeh ????? Not judging by the quote I rec'd from them recently !!

I now use Nautima in Germany - unlike the Pants quote - there was no penalty for not taking other insurances, second they were quite happy to cover latitudes north of 60 ...

[/ QUOTE ] Best ferro insurer by far, but you will only get a policy if the hull was built professionally by a firm on their approved list and/or under surveyors supervision.
