Ferrari XI Hydroplane

Can anybody tell me where i can get pictures and info on this classic boat. The only pics i can get are of toy models, its driving me mad, any help would be great.

interesting it was named Arno - wonder why? The river Arno runs through Florence and pisa. Cantieri di Arno make Leopards these days, probly not the same outfit but dunno....

If there is a connection, a few quick searches don't connect Castoldi etc with them, even using translations to convert Italian to English to read the Italian sites that might be connected.

Heyho. Hydroplane racing was all the rage in the fifties.

The only other bit of worthless info I can offer is that if you had an Italian bike say 20yrs ago, Dell'orto made the carbs.

Doesn't mean there isn't a connection. Internet searching means that someone has to have put archive or historical material online. As Richbrookes found out there are almost no XI photographs online and easily available, but I bet loads of fanatics on the subject have them?
