That made you look Mike!!

The fenders up club will be travelling down to St Kat's over the next week. Contrary to popular belief many of the boats will leave their fenders down until they have cleared Richmond Lock. All will then be stowed.
Needless to say Amadeus-M will lift fenders between each lock and hope that marauding boat owners will avoid us.
We shall be keeping an eye open for the Commodore of the "fenders down" group. No not Mike, but it is another Broom Crown (actually not fitted out by Broom) and we encountered them earlier this season. I didn't think it was possible to fit so many fenders down the side of a boat. All black too. I must confess that I too would change alliegance with that many fenders to lift!

Ooeer! We may be in ST Kats when you get there, if I wave will you wave back with more than two fingers...?!

Have not seen half a sixpence yet...

I seriously hope you bring some better weather with you!!!

Meanwhile kids enjoying the pool here at Tollesbury.

The most we've seen is 27 fenders on a 20 foot boat, 13 down each side plus one of those bow fenders. Keep well away from that one then!
I dont have enough room on the deck to bring in my few tyres, but then I didn't know you were supposed to till I came on here.

Anyone got any departure times and dates please ?

If there are going to be loads in one hit , i'll see if i can fire up the barge lock to get you all out at once. :)

It's always useful to know as we can get the lock ready ( especially if it is a middle of the night departure , nothing worse than hanging off midstream in the small hours ! )

St Kat's.

Tedlock - I guess DaveBig has given you details of departures? Fairly spread out and certainly no night time departures. Hopefully no disruption for you. We are departing Sunday around 10.00 but will pop down and see you Saturday adternoon/evening.
Mike - I have to confess that we prefer Limehouse for the ease of entry and exit but for a week of posing St Kat's has to be the place.

I do hope we have a better run down this Friday and Saturday to Teddington. In May it was SO SLOW. Perhaps we were unlucky and all the locks will perform with silken efficiency this time?

Short of something unusual, I would be surprised if you have any major problems. The river has been surprisingly quiet in recent weeks. Both the last two weekends we have returned downriver to Bray mid afternoon on the Sundays and found no queue at Bray - w/e before last we transited the lock on our own.

Marlow and Boulters were busy yesterday mid/late morning but presumably you should get down as far as Windsor on the Friday which should be quieter anyway?

Hope you have a good trip.

Limehouse is indeed delightful and bookedin for a show and a meal tomorrow night (Oliver).

Suspect we will cross paths as we have to be home next Sunday, will be coming back into Non-Tidal Weds (Hampton Court), then Shepperton Thurs, Windsor Friday and Cookham Saturday.

Still blowing absolute hooley down here, glad we came round yesterday...

Teddington_Lock

Thanks for your PM.
Not sure if my reply worked.
Yes, DaveBig is pretty close.
We will come to the lock Saturday pm to confirm.
Regards,
Mike

Howard.

MTYC are heading for Limehouse, leaving at 4am BH Saturday morning to get to Limehouse before LW shuts us out. 15 boats IIRC.

While I groan at the time (and SWMBO is worse) I recall it means a smooth empty river and the joy of sunrise over London.

Currently on the night shift , one of my equally chipper collegues will be there to assist you !

Thanks Andrew , noted and i will put it on the board.

Currently the barge lock is on the fritz , all being well it will be fixed in the next couple of days.
