Fendering on a pontoon

Some of the pontoon moorings run by our club can get a bit lively during a strong blow from some quarters. Club recommendation is to have some fenders attached to the pontoon, not to the boat. Fenders to be horizontal IIRC

You will probably to anyway but I have found fore and aft springs help to keep the boat off the pontoon

My marina (Inverness) has the propensity to move my ship to a different pontoon - no rhythm or reason.

I can't afford Inverness Marina prices.

I'm told where I'm going you get an allocated space so I'm not expecting my boat to be moved at random.

Well we made the move today and my boat is now tied to the pontoon in her new home.

No issues at all. The pontoon sits further out of the water than I imagined and it all works well with none of the issues I was imagining.

I was going to take a picture or 2, but forgot to take my camera with me.
