Fender socks

I thought i would try this rather than pay silly Fendasox prices. £2 a fender is worth a punt!!

Now just need to attach them somehow.My fenders are Marjoni Star3 21/62. Leggins-med/large.

You could have been more adventurous with the colours A boat near us uses Dunelm Mill fleece blankets in very fancy patterns. Yours look to be very reasonably priced though.

Cut off, melt tops to prevent fraying. Fix through hole at top of fender with cable tie. Cut off end of cable tie, almost invisible. I've used ASDA fleece lined ones but works out expensive, nearly £3 per fender!

How long do they last?

I'll tell you at the end of the season. But a friend who is very knowledgeable in textiles tells me it is basically the same material as the dedicated fender socks.
