I'm trying to sort out new cylinder fenders for the boat and have them shipped out ready for my next visit, but I really can't decide on the best size. Current choice is 90x30cm or 70x24. I think the larger ones, but hoping someone has bought some recently and can give me their thoughts!

Here's a pic of the boat with the current shoddy fender assortment

Something to take into consideration might also be stowage. I have dedicated locker with grp moulded in storage for mine. I bought 30cm diameter and they now dont fit either in the stowage or on the guard rail brackets. Schoolboy error.

This shop is like a boat bits - supermarket + much more .
Just off the A8 for you Jct 41 ? @ Mandelieu. it’s on a retail park next to the airport there’s a Decathlon too - watersports stuff .

You can see feel n touch + get the correct fender socks etc .

Imagine a Tesco @ home for scale ——- now fill it with boat stuff

whilst on the topic of fenders - anyone use a specific fender for the swim platform? Mine (like the boat in the thread) sticks out a little. Use a ball type fender or something else?

Perfect - thanks for the link, I'll add that to the Sat Nav favorites!

I replaced all my fenders last year, the ones that came with the then new to me boat were,in my opinion, too small so went for Majoni Star 55 Fender - 90x30cms which were £35.00 ish each from www.compassmarine.co.uk boat is 56ft.

I bought last set of fenders a few years ago from there too. They were a good company and I’d buy from them again. If you go for the smaller ones, the other place to look is Marinescene which have 5 Marjoni size 5 fenders for £138; bigger may be better though.

I upgraded to the biggest majoni star 5 fenders.
Think I paid £120 for 5 and also git two size 4 balls.

The anthracite goes well with the Ferretti gel coat colour

I have ball fenders attached to the quay and they seem to work OK.

Depending on the quay shape, you'd better use cylindrical fenders rather than ball-type ones (prevents the swim platform from climbing the ball with unfavorable sea/wind conditions)
