Fender repairs

Is there an easy way to mend punctures in fenders - I have several that look in good nick but leak ( not from the valve). A solvent cement into the holes would seem feasible but what cement should I choose?

Judging from the way one of mine melted on the heater exhaust I suspect you could 'smear' over a small hole using a hot soldering iron or similar.

I've had success with one which had split. I pumped in some silicone sealant and left the fender in a position to create a plug internally over the split.
That was in 2006 and it's seen some action since then. Soldering iron welding on the outside won't stand the pressure.
