About ten years ago sat down on the Awlgrip stand at the Southampton boat show and discussed fenders with and without fender sox.

Awlgrip had detailed technical stuff showing how the fleece retained abrasive dust turning fenders into super wet and dry rubbing pads.

Never used them since.
