Ari,
Im hoping that the NASA Stingray will be the same size and just drop in the hole, it certainly looks if it will. Maybe someone can advise.
Not that I really need it as one of the mounts on the helm is for a Hummingbird 350TX sounder which came with the boat, and Ive just bought a Garmin 551S plotter/sounder with TH TD as the central unit to feed my PC with.

By the way I have decided that the best course of action is to pull her forward a bit, drop the leg then disconnect the towing assembly and jack the A frame up on axle stands.
Haydn's solution did appeal to me though, but this way avoids the deadly wrath of SWMBO.
