FELIXSTOWE SEA FRONT - MARITIME EXCLUSION ZONE

Mariners are advised that an air display with low flying aircraft will take place on
Sunday 4th August 2013. Due to the type of aircraft taking part within this display
an exclusion zone of 500m will be placed around the Centre of Display Point
Marker, commencing from the shoreline as shown in the plan overleaf. This
allows for an emergency crash zone from each possible flight path into the
display area.

Point Marker for Centre of Display will be a Black buoy positioned at:
Latitude: 51°57’46”N, Longitude: 001°21’04”E

The exclusion zone will be marked with yellow and orange marker buoys and will be
enforced from 14:30 – 16:30 on Sunday 4th August 2013.

The area will be patrolled by 4No. 6m rigid inflatable boats from the local sailing
club liaising directly with the event organisers and HM Coastguard.
Patrol boats to operate on VHF M1/37a

Call sign to lead patrol boat will be Marine Marshall 1.

We were in Calais a few years back..

The coastgurad seddenly celared the beach and water..
Five minutes later the French version of the Red Arrows did a spectacular display...

Turned out it was the Aniversary of when Mr Bleriot did his thing...

I saw the Catalina fly down the Orwell today, and return some time later, lovely to see, and surprisingly quiet.

There are some pictures of the event here - http://www.ipswichstar.co.uk/news/wings_on_waves_1_2317978?id=9&storyId=1.2317979.1375702964
But only one of the 'Catalina' unfortunately
