Johnalison has given an excellent guide to entering Dover. The thing I would emphasise is to radio up when you're 20 mins away (call sign in the almanac) and do as you're told. We did, but the boat 5 mins in front of us didn't and got a bollocking as a result. There are lots of ferries coming and going, and you don't want to mess with them...
