Apparently there are massive delays at Felixstowe. Story here - Felixstowe Port in 'chaos' as Christmas and Brexit loom
I find that hard to believe, there lots of places the government could store containers. This is just a silly media story, possibly politically motivatedAnd now there are claims that 30% of the container storage is clogged up with PPE which the government bought, but has nowhere else to store it!

I can't see where "Felixstowe Port's spokesman" says the governmnt has nowhere to put them. It seems it was the Guardian saying that. See posts 7 & 8 above, which seems to have found somewhere. So you don't attribute any truth to the Felixstowe Port's spokesman's comments?
The same way as the containers mentioned in 7 & 8 got where they did'
I'm sure there is but there's the slight problem of how to get them there.![]()
I saw those only today. How do you know what the contents are? There are shipping containers full of PPE stored near Melton level crossing also.
Does it matter? Why is there suddenly this problem with storing containers empty or not? The pile at Melton is huge and policed by pretty aggressive security. Anticipating “ provide proof, where is the link ?” I wandered over after buying my world beating sausage roll from the farm shop and asked the guy in the high viz at the gate what all the containers were for. Was basically told to Foxtrot Osker.I saw those only today. How do you know what the contents are?
That clears that up then?Does it matter? Why is there suddenly this problem with storing containers empty or not? The pile at Melton is huge and policed by pretty aggressive security. On the local BBC News tonight, they quoted "11,000 containers of PPE". Assuming this is in TEU's, that's a single container ship of the size of Emma Maersk....
As long as it is PPE, then I am happy. However if it were body bags...........................................Sorry can’t reveal the source, but it’s genuine.
