Just a few bits that I have picked up recently from local rags .

If sailing that way, may be of interest.

The carrier Zhen Hua 25 has been steaming for 8 week's from Shanghai with cranes for Felixstowe welded to it's deck. One for the for the southern rail terminal then three for the new quay. It will be delivering a crane to Thamesport first.

Stena Line will soon welcome the two largest Superferries in the world to the Harwich – Hook of Holland route.

Parkstone has been upgraded and they should be coming on stream in May and October of this year. They are part of a £375 million investment.

Update regarding your Harwich jottings:

* the crane ship is now berthed in Port of Felixstowe but cranes not yet transferred ashore (strong winds?)
* the first new ferry will arrive around 03.00 hours tomorrow morning and start docking trials
* this new ferry then will head over to Hook of Holland to undertake docking trials there
* once all ok it will start service - projected for this Friday

Lots of excitement according to (my Harwich contact)
