Anybody know where there may be a Fein Multimaster with attachments on special offer, or where it may be best priced, they are very expensive. Thought I might be able to justify myself one as a Christmas pressie and I don't suppose there is an equivalent, as good?

Thank you Forbsie for this contact, I am beginning to see though that all Fein retail outlets are much the same price, give or take a couple of %
Thanks again, I think I am going to take the plunge.

The Bosch copy which accepts the Fein blades is going cheap (£50) in B&Q at the moment.

Got one a couple of weeks ago and I'm really pleased with it. Really useful tool on a wooden boat and you can be very precise with it.

... they are very expensive....
.. but they are very good quality. Make sure you get the kit in the plastic box with all the accessories, which is called the Fein FMM 250Q MultiMaster Top ( about £175). They're all very useful and they cost a fortune to buy separately, much more than the £50 price difference compared with the bare machine.

There is another slightly cheaper package called the Fein FMM 250Q MultiMaster Select (around £150), and the basic model for £125.

As well as using it on the boat ( eg for this sort of thing http://corribee.org/technical/mast-beam/) I've used it for countless jobs restoring a small Victorian house - cutting skirting boards in situ, sanding mouldings etc etc. You'll find loads of uses for it.
