Feeling yact owners association

Sad to hear today from the UK distributor North Sea Maritime that Alliaura Marine, the manufacturer’s of Feeling Yachts, are in liquidation. As well as those Impacted at Alliaura, it is a shame for North Sea Maritime who it seems to me have put much enthusiasm into marketing the Feeling brand since taking it over.
Thanks for the information stevecray. Indeed a sad day as a 39 or 44 was going to be our next vessel in a few years time. These are hard times.

Earlier discussion in this thread was rueing their demise and the hope that someone would buy them up. Privilege Marine would appear to have done just that.

Privilege were under the Alliaura banner ( along with others) as the catarmaran section. Their plans allegedly included starting monohull building again under the feeling name......eventually.

My earlier remark was because I couldn't quite relate your point about starting production with the apparent lack of interest in an associstion.?

Looking back at the start of the thread (which I had been following since started) I now realise it was yours and at that time you had some spaspodic interaction with North Sea Marine. Since discovering the Privilege news that has not been widely reported or advertised in the Yachting press that I read and since my last post I see that North Sea Marine have updated their website to confirm they remain the UK agent for Feeling.

As for the association I was 'watching this space' but like others, I suspect, if it was started up I would likely join. Perhaps I should have said earlier.

That's two of us!

I am visiting the London Boat Show and understand that North Sea Marine will be there, if I see them I'll make enquiries.

So am I.
I did speak to them a couple of years ago, when I last went. Indeed they were keen to get an assoc. going, apparently. I wrote several times and never had a reply, then Feeling went poop.......
It may be interesting to see........

Never got to go to LIBS this year and haven't heard anything since from "Camelia", but on the east coast/Blackwater, it has been yet again mooted, as there are several Feelings espied around, my 286, a couple of 326s (one who has spoken to me...) in the Blackwater, a 286 around Ipswich and another 286 in the Crouch.
Feel free to email me at laurie@lmilton.co.uk..................

Hi Laurie

I did get up on the first Saturday and got to speak with Stephen (?) on the Ovni they were showing. I get the feeling they are more pro Ovni than Feeling and I am beginning to seriously look at aluminium hulls myself, or tin boats as my wife calls them. I suspect I am beginning to be drawn to extreme sailing.

There is a Feeling quite near me on the Exe, I'll try and find out who owns that and pass your details.

Regards

Sandy

Hi,

Lovely craft, those Ovni.. (Ovnis?).....way out of my league though!! But that's ok cos we are really enjoying the 286, full of surprises!

Re boat in the Exe...the more the merrier!

HI, I found your post in Feeling section ( wonder if its still alive?)
I wonder if you know anybody who owns Feeling 39. Im rebuilding one with new deck and need one measurment ( position of Shrouds coming thru the deck) . Thanks Tomek
