I've sailed my Fulmar to Madeira from the Algarve several times. It's usually a bit windy.Looking at the GPS I regularly get 7/8 knots with the occasional 10/11 knots surf.Coming back it's a 500nm windward slog so speeds drop but 6/6.5 knots is frequent.Hmmmm, on my experience, I think I'll go for the Feeling on that.........ambivalence:
I realize this is an old thread but I have just come back to the inevitable "I want a bigger boat" and came across an ad for a Feeling 920. I currently sail a Superseal 26 and I therefore have an irreconcilable attraction to lifting keels and I am intrigued by the comment "I wouldn't entertain a centre-board version". Can you (or anyone) elaborate?+ 1 .....
