hi does anyone no what type of wood was used in a feeling 720?
any ideas would be great. Also has anyone had any experience of the deck getting spongy on this type of boat?

Feeling 720

To the best of my knowledge the interior wood is French Elm. I've not come across any reports about spongy decks but having said that there's not many reports about Feeling 720s at all. Mine was built in 1985 and is the lift keel, 9hp inboard version with the aft cabin.
Regards Colin

Elm? Or an elm finished ply? As on my 286...........

Elm veneered ply, but a very few were made with teak on ply.
Never heard of a problem with spongy decks.

From experience, they don't often reply (Alliaura Marine)?

I got a reply from them but only when I wrote in French. Unfortunately, whilst they congratulated me for my French ( a first for me, and a long story :)), they weren't able to help. It is, however, a little optimistic to expect to get detailed information on a boat that's 25 odd years old.
