Feeling 286

Hello,

I am considering purchasing a Feeling 286 in France and sailing it back to Ireland in April or May. I am hoping to purchase a 92 or 93 boat of which there seem to be few about. My questions are, is there anything to be wary of in purchasing a boat in France, hidden charges, paperwork, ability to negotiate on price, and secondly would anyone recomend the 286? I have sailed on one and was impressed with it's performance and finish has anyone had any bad experiences with them.

Can't give you a lot of practical advice but a couple of years ago when I was looking I couln't find a 286 for love nor money! Superb yacht but people hang on to them which must tell you something! I get the impression the French don't maintain their boats as well as we do but this may be a misconception. Good hunting!

Just....bought one from Lymington. Don't see many for sale in Uk, but some in Netherlands..?
