Thank heavens the continentals don't usually take milk in their tea. They'd probably put it in first!

Swedes do not use kettles, there is no need they use a saucepan. The wife’s relatives get excited if you give them a kettle as a present.

I'll have you know the saucepan seems to work quite well. After three electric kettles that's what we resorted to for the best part of a year XD. Then moved to a stove top whistle kettle.

Mind you, tea leaves in a kettle . Wha!? Nu. That is not how we make tea!
