Had a call from International Paints this morning after I entered into their offer of free antifouling on PBO a couple of months ago.

Full Circle will therefore not be wearing her customary Flag Performance Extra, but will instead be resplendent in a batch of free International Micron Extra in a fetching shade of blue.

I have to send them a report every so often, so will be looking at my bottom more frequently to report the cultivation of the garden.

We shall see then.

This has fair made my day.

I, having used Micron Extra for the last 2 years, have found it very good, but putting on 2 coats is a real s..g. So this year I have developed and launched MICUNO a totally new product, the secret formulae (which cannot be divulged for obvious reasons) oh alright then, consists of the majority of a 2lt can of Micron Extra left over from last year, mixed with enough one coat UNO to finish the job in one coat. When applied, it looked the same colour, it didnt start smoking or spontaneously combust or start eating through the gel coat, so an unqualified success so far! All its got to do now is be anti to some fouling.
This could be the way forward.

Well done for winning the competition, you are the first person i have ever heard of who has actually won something on one of these, but at 80+ quid a can it will be back to normal next year?

Ermm, maybe. Due to a warehouse despatch issue, I will have nearly enough to do next year as well.:D:D:D

Jim

You always have been a jammy whatsit.

Us plebs are have having to make do with last years leftover Flag standard stuff that most of us obtained at an excellent price thanks to your heads up.

I nearly had to buy  some at the right price just to finish the keel and rudder but thanks to CPD's generosity I am saved from that this year.

Thank you Alan, that was a full tin.:)

The rest will do to touch up the areas we manage to scrub off at our by-monthly beaching to get the worst fouling off.

I spent 80 quid on some Blakes (now Hempnell) Tiger Extra and there was absolutely bugger all on lift out in Feb not even some slime!!. well 5 barnykuls on the prop. Same for me this year!!
