Favourite Sailing Destination

Bembridge

Gets my vote - perhaps not *overall* favourite, but definitely *practical* *most likely* favourite...

It's perfectly possible to do a Med-Flot-style cruise in the Solent - just take some kids who can only cope with sailing for 2 hours before hitting the beach ;-)

(Thread hijack: Umm, any more suggestions for Alum-Nab Solent beaches, other than East Head/Benbridge/Priory Bay/Ryde/Newton? Newton is marginal, but pretty; Ryde is the best)

The Aegean - generally good winds, lots of sun, plenty of islands and affordable
South-west Ireland - stunning for many reasons, especially in a good summer
Norwegian Fjords - but be prepared for the rain!
North Brittany
BVIs
Beagle Channel - a wonderful part of the world
New Zealand
Solent - great winter playground, and plenty of decent racing in the summer
