You are getting delusions..Best stick to real sailing boats in the used/clapped out devision. The running costs might be slightly closer to what you had in mind.

Actually, I was up in Brittany for a rally and noticed a couple of exteme multies gather dust by the river. I expect they have a short life before the next 'best one'; But, hey, just adverising money?

Leave him alone. Dreams don't cost anything as long as they stay dreams, and their doesn't seem to be any danger of them ever being anything else :)

I've got a very nice list of boats for when I win gazillions on the lottery, and they cost me nothing - well, maybe a couple of pounds now and then when there's a nice big rollover.

Imagine having one of those;
"Love, we're running a bit low on Rum; think we'll just pop to the shop"

You could spend a couple of days nashing across to the Caribbean, have a bbq and a couple of cocktails on the beach before sailing home. You could then be back at your desk at work in the UK by the end of your fortnights holiday! 😃

It has a certain appeal!

Certainly with all that space you could have a sun deck with a beach umbrella…..don’t always have to go fast🙂

Familiarity with the breed would banish that notion🤣 They are horrifically uncomfortable, noisy and tbh bloody scary. The apparent wind is a constant 40+ kn, the spray comes aft like a fire hose. I loved my ride on a 60 for 2 hours. The Dragonfly is perfectly civilised by comparison.

Whilst I don't doubt you for one iota. I can assure you, comfort is not the primary reason behind me not currently owning and sailing an Ultime Tri!

AAAh! yes best to ask, not say bought and need a cheque fo £X, 25 years on and it's still brought up - you bought a boat without asking!
I thought asking for forgiveness would be easier than permmission. I was right BUT keep being reminded.
I suspect the idea of asking for forgiveness, rather than permission, was not aimed at marital situations..
