We shake his tree, he appoints an enquiry lead by a bastion of the establishment, and what does his report say?

Hrrph -All's well with the establishment that appointed me, but those nasty non-lawyers in the BBC who keep asking awkward questions and pressing our ministers to account for themselves, they have to be cut down a peg or two. They're irresponsible, you know - they threaten democracy and our institutions.

And we laughed at Sir Humphrey - but the laughs on us!

If the media don't question the grandees what will be our fate?

So everyone's leaving? What puzzles me is where are they going? As far as I can see, every other country moans just as much about their politicians - and in the case of countries like France with a great deal more justification. So where is this political paradise where the politicians are loved, the taxes are small and spent wisely, the transport sytem works, as does the health service etc etc?

Go on - where?

Or is it just the climate we go abroad for?

At least he has half a brain and isnt made of such a non slip material. I have been SO unhappy with the way things have turned out, the World is in a real mess and we have elected dilweed to sort it out..... The young like myself are really disapointed with the way that this guy can break election promises, hire a middle of the road judge to review a case that the Hague should be looking at + hundreds more things.

TIBET - 50,000 peaceful monks slaughtered in one day by Chinese war planes - would someone like to tell me in which year this happened ( it actually happened in a few hours in one day but hell).

A judge taking the testimony of A. Campbell, an ex-hack, and sundry mandarins as gospel. How many folk out there think that holding un-minuted meetings on issues of national security is the action of 'transparent' government? What the hell are civil servants doing having un-minuted meetings anyway? That these people can have the brassneck to claim that they can remember almost verbatim what was discussed and by whom at meetings held a year earlier is worrying on its own.

Hell, I lead a far duller life than them and I would struggle to remember whether I even attended a specific meeting 12 months ago, let alone who else attended or what they said, without a copy of the minutes or my own notes in front of me. Am I just being cynical, or is there more to this than has currently been reported?

My first reaction

Was "Oh great - an impartial view exonnerated TB - I can begin to trust him again - having been severely jolted over the last year or so".

Having read what you lot have got to say I'm back in the pit of despair again.

Are we so sure that TB is an out an out, brass faced liar? An actor who will say anything to maintain his position and force his own particular ideas on us!

worse than that....

He genuinely believes that he is infallible and that everyone else has not the mental capacity or understanding to make or even help in making decisions. This is a sad sickness which afflicts all powerfull people in the end. In the end it leads to corruption - - lies - even murder - all because he, BLIAR, genuinely believes he is right and that we the proletariat are misguided and stupid.

He has to be finished off before he does any more damage.

thank goodness.

The reason that Scots are heard so often on the airwaves are that they speak the best English and can be understood by most people (unlike the Brummies and the Eastenders).

They also run more of the world that the English, and have done for years. After all the act of union was to join England to Scotland.
