Very sad.

I was out in Portimao at the time but caught it on the tv last night.

Don't think it is one of the Marina based companies. Probably one of the smaller boats operating from alongside the Avenida.

Weather yesterday was quite benign - no wind to speak of, grey and drizzly but the swell close to the caves can be significant. Fourteen seems like quite a large number for that sort of trip at this time of the year.

Everyone hunkered down here as it is lagging down.

I will post again if the jungle telegraph re-activates.

We are currently anchored off Ferragudo within Portimao harbour. The lifeboat here shot off mid morning, blue lights flashing, returning about 3 hours later. Guess thats connected ???

I was told today that the skipper suffered a heart attack, lost control and the boat hit the rocks. But no way of confirming at the moment.
