I have purchased a fantasy 20 4 berth mid 1970's any body have any info on makers, history etc

The Fantasy 20 was built by C.S.Marine Ltd and designed by someone called James Middleton. You can put a maximum of a 70hp on there but if its just for the river a 10hp is fine. It's a medium vee hull so should be a fairly soft ride. C.S.Marine? I wonder if that's the same yard on the Thames near Bell Weir. Maybe someone else will know.

Phew, somebody else with a Fantasy 20. I was beginning to think I was the only one.
Mine has been converted to a 2 berth with a large deck at the back with a inboard Ford diesel (63HP) installed underneath and an Enfield outdrive. Its a very comfortably cruiser on river and canal alike. Next year we hope to be a bit more adventurous and hit the open seas. As noted above, it soaks up the bumps quite well.

If you need to bounce round any questions I will be pleased to share my experiences or any info I have gleaned.

Thanks for reply my boat has a 10 hp 2 stroke mercury. Boat has an extra box on the back for the engine fuel tank etc, not sure what the technical name is? I keep it at a marina on the Lee navigation at the moment but will going onto the Thames in ther spring subject to getting a bigger engine.
One problem at the mo is ballast or lack of it.
