Some of you may remember that, around April, I spent a lot of extra money (and gave up on goodies such as electronic controls and a generator) to buy a 2nd hand Fairline Phantom with a virtually perfect interior. Fewer of you know that, subsequent to that, someone damaged the woodwork to the point that it looked like, well, some of the other boats that I did not buy.

Fortunately, I was referred to a guy called Chris Burgess in Southampton. In only a few hours, he restored the woodwork to the point that I could not see the repairs from as close as 1 feet away. This included matching colour and grain perfectly, and ensuring each panel's reflection did not give any clue as to the fact that it was repaired. Absolutely amazing!

On top of that, he then charged me less than quoted because the job took less time than he through it would. To be honest, I would have been happy paying him ten times what he charged me, given the amazing result - her interior woodwork looks like when we bought her, again!

On that basis, I would happily recommend Chris to restore any scratches/damage to your interior woodwork - especially those scratches that you may no longer notice but potential buyers do. Chris' number is 07887 505412.

I have no relation to Chris except being a happy customer who believe that we should support guys like him as otherwise we might end up losing their skills.

how did the damage happen?

I also highly recommended Chris Burgess as he undertook cosmetic repair works to my friends P480 which had suffered from extensive blooming and he undertook a fantastic job - I have since got him 3 more projects to undertake.
The bathing platform teak was also replaced by another contact I have which also looks first class btw :D
