There is another one in Spain ready to go at just over £25K.
How can anybody let a boat get into that state.
That yard has a couple of other hulks it is trying to offload.

The boat yard opposite me had couple of fixer uppers with "Pay up or we scrap" notices on the side.
One was cut up and the other one went for song.
Rumour it was owned by four chaps, they fell out, boat was abandoned with nobody paying the yard rent.
A third boat has been sitting on the hard for 25 years .Owner pulled the boat to bits and then lost interest. The rent is still being paid .

Has the sun finally set of the acres of green old hulks clogging up hardstandings.
UK seems to be the worst place place for this.

There was a nearly new JCL boat that "sunk" in the lower Thames .
Subject of an insurance claim, insurance company suspious and refused to pay out.
Boat has been ashore at Cuxton for 15 years.
Might be the very one, only about 10 made.
Did go and look at "project" Mamba many years ago_Only real memory was that the visabilty out of lower helm was awful, if not dangerous, not like todays boats of course. :(

isn't that the way some DD where setup? My boat was originally fitted with DD and they were sort of laying on their side sort of thing, like Alf's 45. BTW, what's fitted on Marcus Mystere?
edited, is it a V-drive with engines at the aft deck area?

I am sure Mystere Marcus will be along soon but his Sabres are vertical and driven through V-drives so are located pretty far aft.

A mention in Sara O Haras book **that the first MYSTERE was powered by a pair of Perkins V8 engines, later versions powered by Ford Sabre 210 with V drives.

"In January 1971, the Moonraker VT8 was the fastest production diesel yacht in the world with a top speed in excess of 35 knots."
