Family dialogue rarely heard on board.

Quite :(

If cats were really that great, there would be more of them about.
How about a nice beat to windward? :p

Careful mate. JJ might just take you up on that and give you a good spanking.
Even ordinary cats today are rather better than peeps think and Bella D is no ordinary cat

"Dont worry about getting too close to the pontoon.... I can always jump!"

While beating to windward: 'I'm so glad we had a lie-in instead of cleaning the port winch.'

On a Westerly: 'That padded headlining is a really nice design touch.'

At any time: 'You performed that manoeuvre perfectly darling, I wouldn't have done it any different myself.'

Why don't we buy a new boat instead of getting the kitchen done?

I'm quite happy to jump the 3 feet to the pontoon!

Let's raft up next to that sunsail yacht with all the kid's toys on deck

Gosh, wasn't the electricity cheap at Pendennis Marina

:D

"Why not spend some more time fixing the boat"

"We hardly seem to spend anything on the boat"

"Can you load up the sound of Volvo diesel engines onto my ipod so I can listen to them at work"

To and from SWMBO

from SWMBO:
When berthing: 'Darling, could you raise your voice a little, I can't hear your instructions'.
When getting under way: 'Gosh, I am so glad you persuded me to come sailing instead of going on that boring shopping trip to Harrod's.
At sea: 'Long fingernails are so passe anyway'
To SWMBO
'Of course your high heels won't damage the deck'.
'You take the helm dear and I will get the fenders and the mooring lines ready'.
'Of course I am not upset. The hull needed repainting anyway'.

"Lovely weather yet again"

"Aren't we lucky the wind is always so obliging when we sail"

"If I'd known what a cheap pastime this boating was going to be..."

To HWMBO "How sweet of you to have hoover'd the boat, polished the mahogany, scrubbed the heads....oh and stocked the fridge, prepared that 5 course meal, washed up, abstained from alcohol and had a shower...!"

"What a good and practical choice of outfit for the Fastnet.... I've always fancied men in tuxedo's"

"Thank goodness we bought a boat with lots of electrical equipment as it's so amazingly reliable these days and anyway we need to find a way of using up some of that enormous spare battery capacity"

"Do please open the heads door so I can bathe in that delightful aroma one more time"

"Everyone agrees that all anchors are equally excellent"

Sure, without heeling at 8 knots in 15 knots true 35 degrees to the wind - I'll take that against any 10m mononhull. No sorry I'm wrong - any 13m monohull.

Why aren't htere more cats? Because in the popular parts of the country they are priced out by mooring fees. Come down to our part of the coutry and there are loads of them.
