Stayed at Windsor overnight on Saturday, having cruised up from Penton Hook with Boatone and his shiny new looking Legacy.
Noticed on Sunday morning that the river level had fallen quite noticeably overnight. Upon returning to Bray, I spoke to a fellow berth holder that was moored on the Brocas at Windsor on Saturday, who said that five boats were grounded there overnight due to the river level falling.
Anyone hear what was going on?
I can only think that as the Windsor triathlon was taking place on Sunday morning, maybe the EA closed off the weir at Boveney to reduce the flow as much as possible for the swimmers safety but didn't do likewise at Romney.
Glad we moored on the sports centre side, would never had got Legacy off the mud had we persuaded him to join us on the brocas side!
Darren.
