Not mine and not connected but £46950 seemingly a bargain compared to previous asking prices for this type.

Depends on the year.

If it's a late 1990-1992 boat the that a good price.

If it's a 1983-86 boat then no, it's not

For some reason I can't open the advert, but it's got a metal radar arch so it's a pre 1989 boat.

It has the smaller 255 hp engines, most had the 306s. And interestingly not a single pic of the motors, which are a real PITA to get to and work on. And as for the upholstery............

A bargain? Not in my books.

FYI it is eBay item number:
181297817675

Apart from age the ever so important state of the actual sample is crucial. Guess a survey will show.

I personally think so long as a full survey and engine inspection was carried out with no nasty surprises, then someone would be getting a great boat at a very good price for around £40k. Estimate £5k+ to fit new nav kit and new carpets, curtains and upholstery and your afloat in a nice Turbo 36 for less than £50K.

With ref the other boat mentioned (Turbo 38), i went to view this back in March 2012 and it was in poor condition, but from reading the listing it appears the current owner has addressed all main issues. If it were to be had for £70k ish, again in my opinion a lot of boat for your money, though i do agree with Paul that the interior is a bit dated.

more like £10k

The listing will be 1985-87 with the TAMD60C and metal arch. Dated Look opinions in the eye of the beholder please ! (but I am biased). I would suggest Mark's £10k can easily be extended, my spend is just past £12k in 3 years on repairs & improvements, and i do most of the work myself, and the inventory on mine was massive, but this year spend has been minimal, save that set aside for Mark to Coppercoat her.

There are loads of those very immobile T36 around and most will probably for sale if the right offer came along.
They were all built and sold during a period when fuel was being given away and fuel consumption simply did not raise its ugly head. People who bought them tended to keep them a long time and now feel the effect on their wallet if they use the boat today.
Many simply are not being used.
Personally think the T36 is still a cracking boat and seem to have stood the test of time better than most regards stress cracks and interior integrity.
However boats in this group are going to be very hard to shift and think that a prospective buyer could drive a very hard bargain indeed.
Because of its age,its fuel consumption and the fact that many of the owners are at the end of their boat owning journies and would rather spend the money on their grandchildren, could get you a real bargain.
£30K and leave your number. You can always go up.?

Typical of him recently. Picking holes over 10hp and commenting that the interior of a 20 year old boat looks dated.

All T36/38 look dated but that's what the thread is about.

"Recently" so please forward comments I've made recently that have upset you.

I think you will find "Recently" I've not had the time to be on this forum as other things have taken my time up.

Why do I bother....
