Hi There

I wonder if anyone who has a canopy for the cockpit of their T36 could let me have an image of the design and/or any comments on the practicalities of having one?

It would appear that due to the boat's cockpit and arch layout it's very difficult to find a practical solution!

Hoping to be back on the water soon......

Thanks & Kind Regards
John

I did look into it for my Turbo. Had a couple of pics of others but now deleted.
Due to the radar arch not being full width it was very difficult to fully enclosed and the few I did see looked a bit like a shed.
So I went down the route of a binimi on the fly. Then I could have shade, keep the rain off or collapse it when we wanted an open fly

We have 8 Tubby 36 on our moorings. Both with stainless and glassfibre arches. Mant fold down. All of them have some ingenious method of cover the flybridge.
Most of them have something like this.

One boat , not shown, does sport a canopy fully enclosing entire aft deck. Several have a bimini.

The boat in the first pix is up for sale.

Edit. boat is now sold. Things are on the move it would appear. Seller got his asking price as well. :) Its orf to Norflok braoads.

Thank you all for your very speedy and helpful replies... I do like the idea of the canopy that covered both the fly and cockpit but wonder whether the aft cover would act as a parachute/drogue if up when fly cover down... Would be good to know owner's experience! Also, how easy to take aft one down and lower arch for bridge clearance etc.
My main aim is to provide the extra living space in our unpredictable weather but the boat's layout is not ideal for such a canopy!
