Fairline Targa 40.

Any positives/negatives/general comments? I prefer the T43, but the 40 could be an alternative if we change. Outdrives are a negative I guess, but comments on handling etc would be helpful. Thanks, and ignore my similar post in the Lounge please!

If you're comparing the T40 to the T43, apart from the obvious propulsion difference, the T43 is a heavier boat so more capable in a bigger sea; the general styling of the T40 is very slightly more modern than the T43 - for me, the cockpit layout is much better in the T40. But there again, you're comparing an 18 year old design with a 21 year old design, so I guess this is a marginal point . The other difference with the accommodation is that the T43 has two heads against one in the T40.
