Fairline Targa 40 (ex) owners - how do you get this panel off?

Hi Bluetooth,
I'm never around much these days, I have had computer problems for some months now, self inflicted, as I have a dual boot system that runs XP and Dos. Still it's sorted now and I have 5 backups. Yes really!:ambivalence:

I never heard the outcome to original question posted by Jimmy for the port side deck hatch piece. Would be nice to know Jimmy if you read this...

But the fan is quite simple, just look up in the cupboard where the 3 position on/off switch is. You can unscrew the motor there and drop it down. The replacement is from ECS for about £60 (I think they come with a switch too.) as are the external deck vent covers. These get brittle and need replacement when heavy people tread on them sometimes.

The original motor has a small aluminium pressed fan blade that is not very efficient and also quite noisy, which is why I tried a 12 volt computer cooling fan.

Plus side, cheap to nothing as you'll find them in skips :o, quiet and works perfectly. Negative, only works as extractor as it didn't have any reverse wiring terminal. I think it was a 100mm fan but not sure now. It is very to check the duct size from the external deck vent on the starboard side close to the wind screen.

Welcome to the forum btw. and I hope you enjoy your Targa, an excellent choice in so many ways.

Hi Jimmy is removing the ceiling panels straight forward ?
I have a T37 & need to run a hdmi cable within the ceiling void, iv dropped the light fittings but cannot fish the cable through, but can't see how the ceiling panels are fixed ?
Any tips would be very useful
Cheers.

Hi RR, apols for the delay in replying to this, been away. The answer is that I didn't do it in the end, they are bonded on and there is just no way of getting them off without fairly substantial damage. So I decided that discretion was the better part of valour - and found another way to solve my problem (which was mounting speaker brackets).

Thanks Jimmy,
I did wonder. I also gave up on that one for the same reason.

Still pleased with the refit and swim platform?

Roger.
