fairline targa 39

Check which mercruisers it has. If its the 7.2l V8 diesels then probably avoid or plan to re-engine in the next few years.

Boat wise, the hull is the same as the Targa 40 (and the earlier 38) and they are a pretty good sea boat. Cabin is the same layout as the 40 as well, but less curvy. goos size and a nice family boat. Blue hulls or white hulls are prefered, green hulls are hard to shift. A green hulled boat with V8 Mercs would need to be half the price of a blue/white Volvo engined boat.

There are a couple that have the Yamaha engines which, while quirky, give more power than the Volvo and are reliable, with the super lovely hydradrive legs.

Mercruiser had no D-tronic in 1996... I never saw a 39 with Mercruiser diesels anyway. Only Volvo diesels and petrols, and a few Yamaha diesels. Now for sale here in Holland is hull nr.1, green with KAD 42's.

Do you have a link from the advert of this boat?
