Having sold my beloved Windy Sirocco 32, I wanted as much fun but more space just put a deposit on a 2000 Targa 37, any advice on the Targa?
Much appreciated

Welcome to the forum. Targa 37 is a brilliant boat imho - will feel massive downstairs after your Scirocco 32. Probably KAD44's? Good engines but standard advice for these is make absolutely sure about the service history. I had a T37 for a couple of seasons and loved it; only drawback really was that the engine compartment was very tight. Good boats though, had lots of fun times on ours.

Cheers
Jimmy

Is it the one recently sold by EBY if so it came from York and I serviced it a while back, if so send me a pm and ill divulge more info.

Thanks Jimmy its got KAD 44's Low hours pretty good condition, but no where near the finish of my Windy. Any tips gratefully accepted.

Thanks MJF
Great news I'm looking forward to getting some cruising in and to see how she copes with different seas.
When the sale goes through next week we will keep her in Portsmouth, her name will be "Bella"
Best wishes
Matt

Get a decent survey and the engines and associated systems correctly checked and if needed serviced....make the purchase subject to survey and seatrial if you can.

Thanks very much, The engines / drives are being serviced / repaired at the moment. I have a trade survey being signed over to me, and I have commissioned another survey for Monday. Fingers crossed!!

Congratulations, Just in time for the next Bank holiday too!
Enjoy your new Targa, T37 is on my wish list of next boats.
Currently have a baby sister (T28), best boat we've had so far.

Pics are mandatory!

Hey Matt C
Just a quick note I guess other Volvo peeps might mention soon but check the valves have been done regularly on these engine as they have the 24 valve system, they love making vales into valve piston head salad ??? but otherwise the boats are great I can only wish good luck with her !
