Ok, future plans are to get a bigger boat over the next 2-3 months and current short list is either a Fairling Targa 29 or 30 with KAD 32's. Here's where the problem starts. I know the 30 is a newer boat, but i kind of prefer the cockpit layout of the 29. And then theres down below. The 30 appears more open, but the galley looks lost without the larder unit to split it up from the saloon. My daughter is begging for the 30 due to the small aft sun bed. And round in circles it goes.

So, does anyone have either of these boats, or had them or any general advice on the two?

Thanks

The 30 was a developement of the 29 so hull and driving wise there is nothing to choose between them.

FWIW i prefer the 30 for the following reasons:

Saloon feels more airy because of the more open layout and the deck windows which came as part of the luck pack.
Dash and cockpit feels more modern
newer

We had a T30 and loved it. The cockpit layout worked well for us as everyone is on the same level rather than split in two like the T29.

Rear sunpad is only really suitable for midgets like my SWMBO.

Note that on later T30's the rear seat bolster was removable to give a bigger pad.

You got a Jack and Jill door for the bogs too with the Lux pack.
