Hi there all.
I have been super impressed with the air conditioning system in the boat. I was staying aboard in March in Mallo using the heating side of the system, which was also super impressive. All has been working well until now. There are three zones, two zones are still blowing out warm air with good fan strength. The main cabin zone, is not blowing that well. It’s still feels warm, but no fan strength. I’ve cleaned all the filters, the ducting is clear and doesn’t seem to be kinked. It’s just one day it seemed to work well and then it didn’t. That to me suggests something is broken. Nothing looks out of place and the hot parts of the system are hot. The fan is running, so I have power to the fan, it just seems that the fan is not belting it out. Just wondered if anyone can point me in the right direction. Many thanks in anticipation

Presume individual self contained units ? Marinair type ?
They have a reversing valve which can stick .If so a light tap with a mallet when running usually un sticks it.

If you had them on reverse ie heating air by extraction of heat from the sea , then to cool they need the valve to revert back to cooling , dumping heat into the seawater .Additionally you have to set the cabin tempo stats down .If the ambient ( this time of the yr ) is reasonable ok then they won’t switch back to chill unless you have turned them down to say the lowest setting .

This is the same for both types of AC central which I have or self contained which you have ( I had once in the S Seeker ) by the sounds of 3 zones .

Maybe just fiddling with the tempo stats is all that’s needed ?

these are individual units as you assumed. I think the issue is more to do with fan strength than temperature. the Cabin out vent is warm, but its not fast flowing out the vent as it used too, the other two zones are. The cabin one was on every day during March in Mallorca and flowed out at some strength, now it seems to be just piddling out.... but I can hear the fan, so I know its working..... Its an odd one

The fan speeds vary if they are set on “ auto “ You should be able to manually override it .
So if the set point is say 21 degrees and the ambient ( when returning to the berth after a typical day out ) is say 34 , the fans run fast at first to try and bring it down then gradually slow as the temp reaches the 21 .The same if in reverse heat mode .

So maybe the fans are on ” auto “ and there’s a a small temp difference between the set point and ambient = they run slow .

You can test the auto function by adjusting the tempo stat to its max setting depending on which mode to widen the ambient and set point temp .

Those Marin aaaaaair touch panels have those silly touch pads where by you hold two down simultaneously for 2 secs to change function / modes irrc ? Its easy to flumax yourself and not know exactly what mode it’s set for in my experience.

I have done exactly what you've described, so I'm still a little lost as to what the issue is
