Fairline Sold

It's old news that Fairline have had weekly payment terms with suppliers..

I don't know whether this report is right or not but being on stop means that Fairline have outstanding invoices which have not been paid and thats very different from being on weekly terms. Yes I was surprised by the small number of boats in build but boat builders have a long history of lying about sales made at exhibitions

If they asked us to supply them our credit insurer wouldn't come along for the ride, which would rather put us off.

I know that a fair few were sold at SIBS and F'line have exhibited at at least three international shows since then.

How many did they sell?

All I can say is that the dealers that I spoke to after SIBS were pleased with the number of boats they sold.

Cool. I can't help thinking that had there been redundancies on Wed they would have been in the local rags and on the Internet by now.

Fairline's twitter feed certainly doesn't give the impression of a company that is in its dying throes.

Well to be fair, their Twitter feed is run by a PR firm, so it's unlikely to ever be anything other than 100% positive...

Well, that's one invoice they must still be paying although a decent firm might be managing the current situation rather better.
