Cry for help! I'm a Fairline Phantom 50 owner. She's a 2005 model equipped with Raymarine E240 VHF kit at the lower helm and flybridge. Recently, the handhelds at both stations started reporting an error. Everything points towards having the transceiver unit looked at.....if only I could find it!

Any Phantom 50 owners out there ever located their VHF transceiver? Fairline suggested to look behind the lower helm instruments. No joy. A local marine radio specialist said it would be on an engine room bulkhead. No joy. Have checked every obvious / accessible void. No joy.

Can anyone point me in the right direction please?

Fairline do like to use the space above the window on the starboard side of the aft cabin, look for a panel normally no screws simply Velcro but hopefully some tell-tail pulling tabs in clear plastic.

Just a guess but I'd check behind the vinyl covered board that lines the back of the starboard cabin wardrobe. Pulls off- held on with 3M dual lock.
