my EVC control panel is dead. The engines still start / stop as normal, and will go into forward / aft / neutral - all as normal. Guagues also appear normal, engine hours showing on tachos, and the EVC sterndrive controls work as normal (to adjust angle of sterndrives).

Battery voltages approx. 13V before engines running, and over 14V with engines running (both sides). I've checked obvious things like the connection to the back of panel, breakers in galley and nothing seems wrong. I'm reluctant to use the boat incase I get stranded, any suggestions what could cause this? Is there a fuse / breaker somewhere?

Which engines do you have?

The panel is really only needed for selecting the helm station (ie taking control in the case of a multi-helm station vessel) and then depending on the EVC generation, scrolling though data and carrying out calibrations. So I’m not surprised that the engines still function, and feel it would be unlikely to prevent you starting them

Obviously best to have it working as it doesn’t sound right. The trim panel links into the cables for the EVC panel so you could try removing that and plugging the EVC panel directly into the HCU and see if that makes a difference

Where is the boat? And do you know the EVC generation?
