Fairline cutting staff

Weird. It's not often that designers make catastrophic mistakes with hull design these days given the wealth of knowledge and experience now available. Is it a Shead design? Is it the first off the line because sometimes the early builds have a belt braces heavier lay up?
I've got a feeling this is not the first time this has happened to Sunseeker. I may be wrong but I think that the first Caribbean 52's turned out to be a lot slower than expected and SS ended up fitting massive fixed trim tabs at the stern to give the hull more lift

Very strange.

Princess 21M (approx same weight) with the same engines: they claim 32-34kts flat out, so something is wrong.

The energy must be going somewhere: maybe some sort of unfortunate interaction between the aft sections of the hull and the props?

Interesting to know what the outcome is.

Stop press! Sunseeker sea trials on redesigned hulls

"Back to basics!" declared Don Shead, after the latest disappointing results.

Agree it's not often. More like one in a thousand or something. But this is that one. It's a hull number around 10, so not one of the first few, and it's not heavy, in that the waterline looks ok. Baffling.

You still fail to declare your SS interest.

I would agree that adjustments have been made, as I hear SS have recently closed or announced the closure of two lines? I understand that the people will be employed on the larger boat lines but..........closure of production lines says a story!

Have Princess?
