Fairline 50

Hi Tom as you may know we started in 2003 with my F36 and a Fairline 50 "1987".
This one had the 360hp Volvos I believe 61a, but may be wrong. Anyways these do make it a bit under powered by todays standards, she's a heavy boat. Depends on what you prefer.

Even with a clean bum max 21-22 cruise 17-18.

Plus points though are space three good sized cabins plus crew cabin, large main cabin two good heads/showers plus one crew cabin. Was Fairlines flagship in those days.

Sea keeping, she handles well. Has a massive flybridge.

We did quite a few course on her big as she is.
Hope this helps.

A good write up in MBM Sept 2004 ., If youre seriuos get a copy from copyshop.

I have a Fairline 26 sedanand i have always admired the 50.

I personaly dont know the boats but fairline were well built at the time it says 120 were built and mainly with 71A,s at 358hp 25.2knots tops or Cat 3208 or VP 122 at 480 hp.

I belive them to be well built and 120 is a credible number for that size of boat.

I repowered mine so give me a pm if you want to discuss repowering costs.

Hi Tom we no longer have the Fairline 50 she was bought by someone who keeps her in Duquesa and indeed after he bought her we taught him and his family on her "own boat tuition"

I am currently negotiating buying a yachtbrokers within the Marina. I shall see if we have any similar craft or indeed if "Charma" our previous 50 is for sale.

The closest we have in length for teaching at the moment is the Statesman 450 so about 45ft. Have a look at our web site for details. She is a fine vessel with 370hp Volvos and a suprising turn of speed for a large boat.
Speed of course is not everything and she will cruise nicely on the plane down to 14-15 knts.
