Fairline 36 Turbo, which engines?

Hi all,
First time here. Read many threads in the past but never posted. Sorry if it’s in the wrong place but I was unsure.

I’m looking at a T36 but then owner is unsure which engines she has. He says it could be the 225hp or the 255hp. I would prefer the TAMD60C.

Apparently there is no engine plates to state what they are. Does anyone know how I can tell the difference between the two engines?

You might do better asking about the engines on the motor boat forum as most folks here are sailing boat types.

What year is the boat ?

The TAMD60C is the 255 HP engine and was fitted to mine in March 1986, but I think only a few prior to mine had these.

Not the aftercooler as originally suggested. Be careful to establish the condition of the heat exchangers - rare as rocking horse pooh and a lot more expensive !

I found the website with regards to Ocean Belle and read through it last night. She was a credit to you.

Thank you for the information about the heat exchanger. I have been told by the broker that the starboard engine has the “tendency to over heat” so I’m pretty sure that will be the problem.
